8/18/10 - Great opening game for the U10 Boys! It was fun to watch how well they played together in their first game. Let's hope they keep it up this weekend in the 2 games in Lexington, and the home game against the SIU Inferno.
8/21/10 - Double-header day for the boys in Lexington. We came out sluggish in the first half against the LFC White Club, and were held to a scoreless tie at halftime. The second half was much better as we put up 3 goals and came out with the win, 3-1. The boys all played hard and Reece stopped shot after shot in goal, including some spectacular saves. Goals were scored by Noah (2) and Ryan.
Game two was never really in doubt. The boys gave up a quick early goal to the LFC Red Club, but then started scoring with ease. By halftime, the score was 8-1. Coach Stace slowed it down in the 2nd half and we finished with a 9-2 win. Goals were scored by David S. (3), Ben (2), Wes, Noah, Garrett, and Reece.
8/22/10 - It's Sunday, and we played our first home game. Today we played SIU Inferno, from Southern Indiana. The boys once again showed their knack for playing together as a team. The more people watch them, the more they are impressed with how well they play together. I've received comments from several people admiring their play. Lots of goals in today's win of 11-1: David S. (3), Tyler (3), Preston (2), Wes, Ben and Ryan. Big two day stretch for the boys; 23 goals scored while only giving up 4. Three big wins. Next up, Frankfort Fury next Saturday.
8/28/10 - Another road game, another win. Today's game was against the Frankfort Fury. The boys played a great game again today despite pretty bad conditions. No, the weather was fine. The worst part about today was all the deer droppings...they were everywhere...the field, sideline, fan area, you name it...Great teamwork again, and some pretty nice saves in goal secured another victory. Today's goals were scored by Preston (3), David S. (2), Ryan, and Noah.
