2012/2013 Select Soccer Tryouts 
(U9 – U18)

Atletico Flames FC will conduct tryouts for all Boys and Girls teams ages U10 to U18 and Academy signups for U8/9 Spark Academy. 


Tryouts will be held for the 2013/2014 seasons for ages U8/9Academy through U14.

U15 and above will hold tryouts for the Fall College Showcase teams.


An additional tryout will be in Novemeber/Demeber for the U15 and above spring teams.


All are invited to attend.

2013/2014 Atletico Flames Spark Academy
 


Atletico Flames FC will conduct signups for all Boys and Girls U8-9 Spark Academy teams. Signups will be held for the 2013/2014 season for players born August 1, 2004 - July 31, 2006 (all academy aged players who signup will be offered spot on roster).



May 23rd, 5:30pm - 6:30pm 

The cost will be $20.00 and all players will receive an Atletico Flames training t-shirt. 



Signups will be held at Mike Carroll Soccer complex. 



Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to each session

May 21st - 5:30pm - 6:45pm 


May 22nd - 7:00pm - 8:15pm

May 21st - 7:00pm - 8:15pm

May 22nd - 5:30pm - 6:45pm 



The cost will be $20.00 and all players will receive an Atletico Flames training t-shirt.

2013 College Showcase Team Tryouts
 


Tryouts will be held for high school aged players (U15 - U18) for the Fall College Showcase teams. 

Players who tryout WILL have to commit to our spring season teams and will be required to attend fall tryouts for our 2014 spring teams. The fee for this tryout covers both tryouts. 



 May 23rd, 6:30pm- 7:45pm 



The cost will be $20.00 and all players will receive an Atletico Flames Training T-shirt.



Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to each session.

U8/9 Spark Academy Program

• To eliminate keeping scores and reduce pressure on players and coaches to get results.

• To emphasize individual player development and especially individual technical development.

• To reduce the excessive travel around the state for games and tournaments.

• To reduce the possibilities of mismatched opponents and lopsided scores.

• To reduce the number of games players were playing in a year and increase the number of training opportunities.

•Free player movement within the academy program age group.

• Growing a ‘CLUB’ concept with a club loyalty as opposed to individual team mentality.

• Professional coaches taking over administration and training of younger ages.

• A good introduction to ‘Select’ competitive soccer for players transitioning from recreational to select soccer.

 

College Showcase Teams

•Teams begin practicing as soon as the High School season is completed.

• Teams will travel to three (3) tournaments in November/December. One (1) tournament will be AFFC sponsored in Elizabethtown at the NEW sports Park

• Travel to larger tournaments that feature only U15 and above age groups. Possible venues will include, Memphis, TN, Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Evansville, IN, Norcross, GA and/or Chattanooga, TN.

• Players will get exposure to college coaches from across the country. Many KY coaches travel to these tournaments.

• Players who tryout for showcase teams will have to commit to play on one of our spring teams (if spring team available in age group).

 

Please bring: water bottle, cleats, shin guards, and proper size soccer ball.


 
***Any age group that advances to State Finals may have additional tryout dates after finals.
